The Syllabus subcommittee /Short-term Task Force was established in October 2019. They reviewed the 2013 syllabus content and updated it in keeping with EAP and UEMS requirements. Comments and contributions were obtained from trainees and specialists in paediatric as well as adult endocrinology and diabetes from countries in Europe and around the world. Thereafter it was peer reviewed by the Chair of the ETC Rasha Hamza, members of the ETC and members of the ESPE Council in 2020. The reviewers comprised representatives of national societies. With ESPE approval, the Syllabus subcommittee submitted this ETR to the EAP in August 2020. The document was revised further to receiving comments from UEMS reviewers and submitted to UEMS for ratification in April 2021. The methodology used has contributed to ensuring the validity of the updated syllabus and its utility throughout Europe as well as worldwide.
