Provide a complex structural interventions service for paediatric and CHD patients Descriptors • Demonstrates knowledge of the indication, risks / benefits of the full range of diagnostic and therapeutic paediatric and adult congenital cardiac catheterisation procedures • Holds valid IRMER accreditation and practices in a way that minimises radiation exposure to the patient and staff at all times. • Ensures appropriate patient listing, pre-procedural assessment and obtain fully informed consent using a suitable level of language • Able to undertake diagnostic and less complex interventional procedures (e.g. angioplasty, valvoplasty, ASD, PDA and collateral occlusion) including balloon atrial septostomy and pericardiocentesis in an emergency setting
